Learn how to say what you have and describe objects in your house:
💡 Verb: Hebûn (To have / To exist)
hene = there are / exist (plural)
tune = there isn't / doesn't exist
nîne = there aren't / don't exist
Examples:
• Li malê nivîn heye. = There is a bed in the house.
• Li odeya min du kursî hene. = There are two chairs in my room.
• Televîzyon tune. = There is no television.
• Li vir masê hene. = There are tables here.
Conjugation with Pronouns:

Note: The possessive pronouns are: min (my), te (your), wî (his), wê (her), me (our), we (your pl.), wan (their)
Complete these sentences using the correct possessive pronoun + heye/tune:

Listen to these people describing their houses:
(My house is big. In my house there are five rooms. Living room, two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. In the living room there are television, table and several chairs. In the bedroom there are bed, cupboard and lamp. I love my house very much!)
(I live in an apartment. My apartment is small but nice. There are two rooms: bedroom and living room. Kitchen and living room are together. In the bedroom there is a big bed. On the wall there are pictures.)

(No, there is no television. But on the wall there are pictures.)

Mala min xweş e. Li malê min çar ode hene. Li rûniştvanê masêyek mezin heye. Li ser masê çira heye. Li xewngeh nivîneke nerm heye. Li ser dîwarê wêneyan hene. Li metbexê dolap û qap hene. Ez kêfxweş im!
Translation: My house is nice. In my house there are four rooms. In the living room there is a big table. On the table there is a lamp. In the bedroom there is a soft bed. On the wall there are pictures. In the kitchen there are cupboards and dishes. I am happy!

Learn about traditional Kurdish houses and their unique features:

Malên kevneşopî ji ber û qereç çêdibin. Ew ji bo hewaya çiyayan hatine çêkirin.
Ocax di navenda malê de ye. Malbat li dora wê kom dibin.

💡 Did you know?
Traditional Kurdish houses are designed to be cool in summer and warm in winter. The thick stone walls provide excellent insulation. Many modern Kurdish homes still incorporate traditional elements like the ocax and decorative carpets.
